Chapter 60

His sister and his niece had almost walked over to grab a bite and his niece noticed him and tried to pull him over to join him, but he stood still not realizing until his sister shook him off. He came back to senses and his sister bore a smile and enquired, looks like you were quiet distracted. He walked over reluctantly, occasionally turning back to see her. He could hardly concentrate on his food; seemed very distracted and one could tell his mind was on something else. His niece even noticed and asked him a lot of questions, which his sister ended up answering, since she didn’t want her to disturb him. She was very happy that her idea to bring him over to the wedding had turned out to be quiet fruitful.

He was stunned by her not because she was simply elegant, more because he felt like he knew her, she looked a lot like the girl he had spent his whole evening at the presentation, but yet she looked different. He was also taken by her simplicity, yet her charm and her eyes and something about her just convinced him that it was her. Since he didn’t know her name he was not sure if he should even go and talk to her. He was puzzled; he had liked her the first time they had met, if it were her that he had seen earlier, he wouldn’t pass a chance to talk to her.

He finished his dinner rather quick, hardly realized what he was eating, excused himself and disappeared down the stairs looking for her. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find her, she had vanished into the crowd, he felt like she had vanished into the thin air and he was looking around if he heard anyone calling a girls name and that was of no use. The rituals seemed to have ended and the crowd was dissipating and he was hoping that he could spot her somewhere. His sister came over with his niece and offered him a pan which he instantly turned down without looking at her still searching the crowd. His niece was tiered and was ready to go home and he was left with no choice, but to leave. He left the building with his sister a bit puzzled, not hearing someone calling his name in the back with his niece telling secrets in his ear.
