Chapter 163

She had never thought about where she going to stay that night, thank god to Chari’s friend who welcomed her into his house. Thanks to Chari, who had always considered her as a part of his family and his friend, whom had never met, also happened to be an acquaintance of her father, turned out to be better than she had expected.

They had finished their dinner in the hospital cafeteria before they go to their house and after an hours chit chat they all retired to bed. Chari and his wife shared a sleeping pill and gave one to her, just in case she needs it. She didn’t want to take any medicine unnecessarily, and considering the fact she was tired, she just slipped it onto her bag and went to bed.

Her mind lingered over the exchange of smiles between Pryag and his brother-in-law; she was curious to know what that was, but she knew there was no way to find out. She found herself smiling about her curiosity and not worrying about Pryag’s surgery. She had seen hope in his eyes, some kind of determination and confidence, guaranteeing that he will do just fine. That was what had driven her worries away and she closed her eyelids while her hands slid in-between her pillow and her cheek and her lips adorned a smile.
