Chapter 189

It started to drizzle as she walked along the side walk; the ground swallowed it hungrily as if it hadn’t eaten anything in a long time; the droplets were assimilated so fast it didn’t even leave a trace on the sidewalk, except a few droplets that were caught on her hair, that was slowly starting to drip through her forehead onto her cheeks.

She increased her pace of walk and the droplets wasn’t giving up that easily and were determined to settle on her. As though the clouds had turned black with fury and were betrayed by their beloved sun that soared up in the sky, poured out its aggravation in the form of rain.

She almost tasted a droplet and another and the next moment she was running and this time, she was being escorted towards the nearest café to seek shelter in the arms of the only man she ever loved and she the hardly noticed the drizzle turning into a down pour. All she wanted to remember was that she was with him and she knew she probably may not have this opportunity again.
